Each year, the Blessing of the Animals service invites pet owners and animal lovers to reflect on the animals’ positive impact on emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Animal care and service organizations and rescue groups will attend with pets available for adoption and other useful information.
All faiths are welcome to bring animals to St. James Episcopal Church for the Blessing of the Animals
Note: Not everybody needs to bring an animal. We realize that some animals do not travel well or socialize easily. Some may have died this year. Some we cannot keep. Photos, empty leashes, collars, and memories are all forms of full participation.
