Music

Adult Choir
The St. James Choir is an integral part of our worship at St. James. The Adult Choir is a group of 12 to 16 dedicated vocalists join together to make a joyful noise to the Lord (and help the rest of us). Parishioners who can either read music or just love to sing are invited and encouraged to lead the congregation in the hymns appointed for the service, as well as perform offertory anthems, act as cantor leadership (for the singing of the Psalms) and other preces. The Adult Choir rehearses during the school year on Wednesday Evenings at 7 p.m. Please contact the church office for more information about participating in the choir.

Youth Choir
Membership in the St. James Youth Choir is open to anyone in first grade through high school who likes to sing. The group sings monthly at 10:30 a.m. Sunday service of Holy Eucharist and during Easter and Christmas services. Accompaniment by wind instruments and bells are occasionally used. During the school year, the Youth Choir rehearses for about 30 minutes on Wednesdays starting at 6:15 p.m. To learn more about your child joining, please contact Jim Winfree at 423.638.6583.
