The vestry took measures to “close the gap” on deferred maintenance. We decided to complete a much-needed facelift of our facility’s interior, complementing the excellent work on the exterior completed in 2022. The vestry is in the early stages of developing a strategic plan to ensure St. James moves into the future with strength and vitality.
List of repairs/improvements
1. Repair of Small Sunday School Bathroom (severe water damage to floor)
2. Replacement of plumbing with PEX to prevent further leaks and damage
3. Repair of church structural support columns (crumbling brick)
4. Repair/replacement of upstairs emergency exit door (rotted off hinges)
5. Cosmetic repairs throughout (ceiling stains, paint, etc.)
6. New flooring in the bathrooms, kitchen, and parish hall.
7. Improved lighting in the parish hall.
8. Additional Sanctuary Lighting (altar area)
9. HVAC inspection and spare parts list (aging units need continuous care)
