This year, on Wednesday evenings in the season of Lent. We start with a simple supper (soup/salad) followed by a brief program entitled “What Wondrous Love” focusing on word and art meditations from Holy Week, we end our gathering by reading Evening Prayer together.
In What Wondrous Love, Holy Week and Easter come alive in video commentaries by Candler faculty, paired with illustrations by John August Swanson. The DVD features commentaries by the faculty scholars plus a Swanson work of art focused on a familiar Scripture passage.
Fr. Ken will facilitate a discussion using Swanson’s artwork from the DVD along with thought-provoking questions to spark fresh insights into the Biblical story.
